Oratory is now MOMENT
The studio behind 100+ launches, now with a strategic stake from PERMANENT. Brand and web together, with the room to do our best work.
September 23, 2026Oratory is becoming MOMENT, and we’re doing it alongside the team at PERMANENT, who’ve taken a strategic stake in the company. We’re the same team that’s shipped for more than a hundred companies over the last few years, just with access to more talented designers and room to do our best work.
But the name is the smallest part of this. The bigger change is what MOMENT can do for you: brand and website, designed and built together in one focused sprint, to a standard you’d be proud to put your name on. If you’re a tech company that wants to take design seriously, that’s what we’re here for.
We’re doing this because the bar for quality has moved. A few years ago, a clean, fast website was enough to stand out. Now every serious company has a decent website. Good work is now the floor. Creating work that we’re proud of today takes more than it used to when we first started Oratory and we’ve grown as a company to be able to do better work overall. Over the past year, we’ve been able to partner with PERMANENT on a handful of projects and it’s made it possible for us to create our best work that we are extremely proud of. Today, we are making that partnership official by forming MOMENT.
"After working together with Riley and the Oratory team on a few projects, building MOMENT was the obvious next move. Get founders a real brand and a genuinely good site, fast, without the agency nonsense. We're building this together, and I can't wait to see where this goes."

Same model, more room
All that work taught us what a startup actually needs, what’s just agency excess, and what it takes for a project to be a success. MOMENT is what we’ve built to put that all into practice at a higher level.
We work in fixed scope and fixed price, fast. There are other good ways to work with a studio, and an embedded, ongoing partner is a great one once a company is ready for it. But for a first real investment in design, or a major refresh, a tight, tangible sprint is the easiest way to get exactly what you need. No agency theater, no surprises, and no unexpected scope creep.
The scope itself is the part we’ve thought hardest about. Everything in it has had to fight for its place. We’ve seen what actually moves the needle for a startup and what just adds unnecessary cost and time. Our sprints leave you with something tangible: a baseline where design finally looks and feels like an intentional piece of your company where you care. And we have gotten really good at this because we focus all of our efforts as a company on this one thing.
At Oratory, that meant turning down the things clients were asking for. Going deeper on brand. Pushing the details. Making the site feel alive. We wanted to every time, but we didn’t build the budget or the time into the business to do it without breaking the model.
Working with companies like Peec, Default, and Tembo through our partnership with PERMANENT taught us something simple. A couple more weeks and a bit more budget improves the results significantly more than we originally thought it would.
So with MOMENT, we expanded the offer. Website design and development is still the core of it, the work Oratory was built on and the biggest piece of every project, now with room to do it right: the interactions, the animations, the polish we always wanted to do on every project but never had budgeted for. The expansion is brand and visual identity, which now come standard within every sprint. Brand and web, together, is our core focus.
In practice, here’s what that looks like. A project opens with enough brand and visual identity work for us to build a complete system, optimized for creating a great website and online presence. The sprint closes with a tangible website that can evolve, with considered interactions, motion, and the small details that make a site feel like somebody has put time and attention into it.
A few projects are mid-flight as we make the switch. They carry on exactly as planned, just under a new name.
And if you’ve been meaning to reach out, now’s your moment.
